About This Role

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding market presence within the AirTech (air purification, HVAC, air quality, or related technology) sector. This role requires a strong commercial mindset, ownership of Profit & Loss (P&L), and the ability to lead sales strategies, partnerships, and market expansion initiatives.

The ideal candidate will combine business development expertise with technical understanding of AirTech solutions, ensuring effective positioning, pricing, and deal execution in competitive markets. This role also includes leadership responsibilities, managing and developing a sales team while working cross-functionally with operations, product, and finance teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across target industries (e.g., commercial buildings, industrial, healthcare, hospitality).
  • Build and execute strategic growth plans aligned with company objectives.
  • Establish strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Drive market expansion, including new geographic or sector entry.
  • Own and manage full P&L responsibility for assigned business unit or portfolio.
  • Monitor revenue, margins, and cost control to ensure profitability targets are met.
  • Develop financial forecasts, budgets, and performance tracking mechanisms.
  • Lead and mentor the sales team to achieve revenue targets and KPIs.
  • Define and implement sales strategies, pipelines, and performance management processes.
  • Oversee sales operations including forecasting, reporting, and team productivity.
  • Ensure alignment between sales targets and broader business strategy.
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies to maximize profitability and competitiveness.
  • Lead contract negotiations with key clients, ensuring favorable commercial terms.
  • Drive the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to refine commercial approach.
  • Work closely with product, engineering, and operations teams to tailor solutions to customer needs.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop go-to-market strategies and campaigns.
  • Provide customer feedback to improve product offerings and service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 8–12 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Commercial roles.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in leadership or people management roles.
  • Experience in AirTech, HVAC, clean technology, or industrial solutions is highly preferred.

Core Competencies

  • Strong P&L management experience with proven track record of revenue growth.
  • Extensive business development and key account management experience.
  • Demonstrated success in sales leadership and team management.
  • Solid commercial acumen with experience in:
