About The Role
Carrier is seeking a
Business Development Manager – Data Center to drive strategic growth in the mission-critical cooling segment. This role will focus on market penetration, stakeholder engagement, and technical solution selling to expand Carrier's presence in hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data center markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to grow market share in the data center segment
- Identify and pursue new opportunities across hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, and edge data center customers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, developers, contractors, and key decision-makers
- Influence project specifications at early stages to position Carrier solutions
- Lead technical sales activities, including solution positioning, proposal development, and bid strategy
- Manage end-to-end project cycles: lead generation, qualification, tendering, contract negotiation, and handover
- Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, product, service) to deliver tailored customer solutions
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to support business growth
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B technical sales, business development, or key account management
- Mandatory: Data Center experience, with proven track record in selling HVAC, cooling, or critical infrastructure solutions
- Strong experience managing full project lifecycle (spec influence tender negotiation handover)
- Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and commercial acumen
- Good command of English communication
