Business Development Manager, Chinese Desk (Chinese Speaking)
As the BD Manager (Chinese Speaking) you will play a pivotal role in driving commercial success and expanding our presence in the Intra Asia trade market. You will be responsible for setting clear objectives, motivating your team, and ensuring the highest standards of customer service and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the sales team to maximize cargo sales and consistently monitor team performance against targets.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to grow market share within the Intra-Asia trade, identifying new business opportunities and expanding our customer base.
- Drive the team to increase sales volumes across the current portfolio and proactively seek out and onboard new customers to diversify and strengthen our client network.
- Support the sales team in identifying emerging market trends, customer needs, and potential areas for commercial growth.
- Lead and participate in commercial visits, actively promoting and selling CNC (China) services to both existing and prospective clients.
- Consolidate and update all commercial data, including customer feedback and complaints, using the CRM (Sales tool) to ensure accurate and actionable insights.
- Encourage the adoption of value-added services such as e-commerce, insurance, credit card log, and inter-modal solutions to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with the Line Manager to implement targeted action plans for commercial development, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of proven experience in the shipping line, freight forwarding, logistics, or related sec-tors.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree required; specialization in logistics or supply chain management is highly preferred. Professional Skills:
- Business-level proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and strong command of Thai and English, both writ-ten and spoken.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Intra-Asia business dynamics, cultural norms, and operational prac-tices.
