Job Purpose
To work closely with top executives to execute business strategies by driving both current and new strategic initiatives. This role combines business development, strategic project management, and client engagement responsibilities. The position requires strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to translate market opportunities and client requirements into commercially viable projects and actionable recommendations.
The Business Development Manager is expected to build strong foundational and in-depth knowledge across core business functions, including strategy, business operations, and finance, while acting as a key liaison between internal teams and external partners or clients.
Main Responsibilities
- Monitor market trends and evaluate new business opportunities, including strategic partnerships and client-based projects.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and feasibility studies to support business expansion and new initiatives.
- Engage with external clients, partners, and corporate customers to present the company's projects, solutions, and value propositions.
- Gather and analyze client requirements, business challenges, and objectives, and translate them into clear project scopes and solution proposals.
- Work closely with internal teams (finance, commercial, sales, marketing, operations, and IT) to design, evaluate, and deliver solutions that meet both client needs and business objectives.
- Collaborate with finance and commercial teams to develop ROI analysis, P&L projections, and breakeven models for new opportunities and client-driven projects.
- Lead end-to-end project engagement from initial discussions, proposal development, and presentations through to project handover and execution.
- Track and analyze performance post-launch, including financial performance, operational outcomes, and client satisfaction.
- Manage and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners, acting as a trusted business advisor to support long-term collaboration and repeat business.
- Communicate project progress, results, and strategic plans to senior management and external stakeholders.
- Support negotiations on commercial terms and contracts in collaboration with finance and legal teams.
- Continuously gather market and client insights to enhance project offerings and identify future business opportunities.

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in business development, strategic management, or account/project-based roles, preferably within the retail or IT retail industry.
- Proven experience in managing cross-functional projects and engaging with external clients or business partners.
