Job Summary
We are seeking a driven and technically savvy Business Development Supervisor to lead B2B sales efforts for industrial hoses and connectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical product sales, experience within the hose industry (e.g., hydraulic, PVC, or industrial hoses), and a proven ability to drive business growth through market development and key account management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business development and sales activities for industrial hose and connector products across target sectors such as manufacturing, oil & gas, and automotive.
- Manage and grow key accounts while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans, pricing proposals, and customer acquisition strategies.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure technical accuracy and alignment with client specifications.
- Provide technical consultation and presentations to customers, interpreting drawings and specifications as needed.
- Use CRM tools to manage the sales pipeline, track activities, and report performance to management.
- Supervise and mentor sales team members, driving performance through coaching and collaboration.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform business strategy.
- Represent the company at trade shows, client meetings, and technical discussions both locally and regionally.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Industrial Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B sales of technical or industrial products.
- Hands-on experience in the hose business (hydraulic, PVC, or industrial hoses) is a strong advantage.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity, with experience in team management or cross-functional collaboration.
- Proven success in business development, market expansion, or managing high-value industrial accounts.
Technical & Business Skills
- Strong knowledge of industrial hoses and connectors and their applications.
- Ability to read technical drawings/specs and communicate with engineering teams.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and understanding of the sales pipeline and forecasting.
- Strategic thinking, analytical mindset, and strong commercial acumen.
Communication & Language
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to present both technical and business cases effectively.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required; additional language skills such as Chinese, Japanese, or other ASEAN languages are a plus.
Other Requirements
- Willingness to travel locally and internationally as required.
- Customer-focused attitude with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with ISO, safety standards, and industrial compliance is preferred.
