Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms. Each day, you will ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying new suppliers in cooperation with the relevant category team.

The work model for the role is: hybrid #LI-hybrid

This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solution.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Identify, qualify, and manage suppliers in collaboration with category teams, Supplier Quality, and Engineering.
  • Negotiate supplier agreements, adapt corporate contracts locally, and recommend frame agreements for approval.
  • Analyze and evaluate bids to achieve optimal value and support bid/proposal teams with market insights.
  • Initiate and manage Purchase Orders (POs), track deliveries, and ensure accurate invoice processing.
  • Monitor supplier performance (delivery, quality, lead time) and resolve performance issues.
  • Align supplier orders with customer, project, ERP, SOP, sustainability, quality, and pricing requirements.
  • Ensure SAP/Ariba data accuracy and full compliance with ABB policies, code of conduct, ethics, and HSE standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, support team objectives, and drive personal development and continuous learning.

Qualifications to the role

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
  • 3-5 years of experience in purchasing or buying functions, preferably in industrial, electrical, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Knowledge of SAP, Ariba, or similar procurement platforms is an advantage.
  • Understanding of basic sourcing, supplier negotiation, logistics coordination, and procurement compliance.
  • Professional communication ability in Thai and English is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, Good analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to multitask, manage deadlines, and work collaboratively across teams.
  • Proactive mindset with willingness to learn and engage in continuous improvement.
