Job Description

Our client is a leading regional industrial group with multi‑country operations across Asia, providing critical materials and solutions to a diverse range of industrial customers. The organization is well established and continues to grow through regional expansion and strategic acquisitions. You will be responsible for leading and shaping the Group's people strategy to support business growth, regional expansion, and post‑merger integration. This role will oversee end‑to‑end Human Resources, Organizational Development, and Administration functions across the Group and its subsidiaries.

The CPO will play a pivotal role in:

  • M&A integration from a people and governance perspective
  • Aligning regional HR policies, compliance, and operating models with Group standards
  • Building scalable HR systems, leadership capability, and a strong performance-driven culture

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a Group-wide people and organization strategy aligned with business objectives and long‑term growth plans.
  • Act as a strategic advisor and business partner to the CEO and Group Leadership Team on workforce planning, organizational design, leadership capability, and succession planning.
  • Lead and manage a multi‑functional HR organization covering Global HR, HRM, HRD, and Admin & Facilities functions.
  • Drive HR-related M&A activities including pre‑integration assessment, post‑merger people integration, policy harmonization, culture alignment, and change management.
  • Oversee the Global HR function supporting subsidiary companies to ensure alignment with Group standards, policies, procedures, labor law compliance, and governance requirements.
  • Establish and maintain scalable HR frameworks and operating models suitable for a multi-country and multi-entity organization.
  • Provide leadership on talent acquisition, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee engagement, and employee relations across the Group.
  • Design and implement HRD and Organizational Development initiatives including leadership development, succession planning, capability building, and high-potential talent programs.
  • Lead cultural transformation initiatives to support performance, accountability, agility, and sustainable growth.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations across jurisdictions in close collaboration with Legal, Finance, and Compliance teams.
  • Manage multiple strategic and operational projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business priorities.
  • Oversee administration, facilities management, and company events to ensure efficient operations, cost control, and a consistent employee experience.
  • Serve as the key liaison between headquarters and subsidiary management teams, balancing global governance with local business realities.
  • Present people strategy, organizational insights, and key HR metrics to senior management and the Board as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 15–20 years of progressive HR leadership experience, with significant exposure at regional or group level.
  • Proven track record as Chief People Officer, HR Director, or equivalent senior HR leadership role.
  • Strong hands-on experience in M&A integration, Post‑merger people strategy and governance, Building HR frameworks in multi-country organizations
  • Solid background in Organizational Development (OD).
  • Experience managing multiple HR functions simultaneously (strategic, operational, and administrative).
  • Fluent in English (mandatory)
