Job Description:
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is responsible for defining and executing the company's overall technology strategy to support an integrated agro-industrial and food production business. This role drives digital transformation across farming, processing, manufacturing, supply chain, and distribution, ensuring operational efficiency, food safety, traceability, and sustainable growth.
Objectives of this role
Technology Strategy & Leadership:
- Define and execute the Technology Strategy and Roadmap aligned with business objectives.
- Lead enterprise-wide Digital Transformation across farms, factories, and supply chain operations.
- Oversee technology investments to ensure scalability, efficiency, and strong ROI.
AgriTech & FoodTech Enablement :
- Implement and optimize technologies in:
- Smart Farming / Precision Agriculture
- IoT, sensors, drones, AI, and data analytics
- Automation, robotics, MES, SCADA, and industrial systems
- Improve yield, productivity, cost efficiency, and waste reduction across operations.
IT, Data & Digital Platforms
- Oversee enterprise systems including:
- ERP, Supply Chain, Inventory, WMS, TMS
- Data platforms, BI tools, AI/ML solutions
- Establish robust IT infrastructure, cloud architecture, cybersecurity, and data governance.
- Enable a data-driven decision-making culture across the organization.
Quality, Compliance & Traceability
- Drive continuous innovation and adoption of emerging AgriTech and FoodTech solutions.
- Collaborate with startups, technology vendors, research institutions, and industry partners.
- Pilot and scale new technologies that support sustainability and long-term competitiveness.
Team, Budget & Governance
- Build and lead high-performing teams across IT, Digital, Automation, Data, and Innovation.
- Manage technology budgets, vendor relationships, and project portfolios.
- Identify and mitigate technology-related risks.
Required skills and qualifications
Technical & Leadership Skills: Strong knowledge of;
- AgriTech / FoodTech ecosystems
- Smart Factory, Industrial Automation, and OT systems
- ERP and end-to-end Supply Chain systems
- Data, AI, IoT, and cloud platforms
- Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale transformation initiatives.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience in project management and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

Education:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in: Engineering (Computer, Industrial, Electrical, Automation) Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science or related fields. MBA or executive management education is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum 1015 years of experience in technology leadership roles.
- Proven experience at executive or senior leadership level (CTO, IT Director, Head of Digital).
- Experience in agro-industry, food & beverage manufacturing, or large-scale industrial operations is highly preferred.
