Your Role

The Compliance Laboratory Engineer is responsible for performing electrical safety and functional tests on home appliances (with a focus on washing machines, dryers, and dishwashers) to verify conformity with international standards.

The role includes testing activities, critical analysis of results, management of non-conformities, and technical support to design and development teams.

A Typical Day :

  • Perform laboratory tests in accordance with IEC/EN 60335-1 and relevant Part 2 standards for washing machines, dryers, and dishwashers.
  • Analyze test results, identify technical issues, and propose corrective actions.
  • Prepare accurate and well-structured technical reports.
  • Collaborate with design teams and other departments to ensure product compliance.
  • Manage and maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Support internal and external compliance audits.
  • Monitor updates and changes to applicable safety standards and requirements.
  • Interface with Notified Bodies for testing activities, technical clarifications, regulatory alignment, and certification progress.
  • Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of the technical data package (technical documentation, compliance dossier, test evidence).
  • Product Safety Risk Assessment (PSRA)

Education :

Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.

Experience :

3 years or more of relevant experience in R&D

Knowledge of IEC/EN 60335-1 and the following specific standards.

  • IEC/EN 60335 2 7 (washing machines)
  • IEC/EN 60335 2 11 (tumble dryers)
  • IEC/EN 60335 2 5 (dishwashers)

Proficiency with electrical measurement tools and laboratory test equipment.

Knowledge of Electrical and Electronic components.

Ability to read and interpret electrical and electronic schematics.

Quality Management in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025.

Product Authority approval/certification

  • Good command of technical English.

  • Teamwork-oriented with effective communication skills.
  • Accuracy, reliability, and ability to work independently.
  • Initiative and willingness to learn in a dynamic environment.
  • Previous experience in testing laboratories or compliance offices.
  • Knowledge of certification processes (TÜV, UL, etc.).
  • Familiarity with performance testing on home appliances.
