Job Description

Job Overview:

The Compliance Officer is responsible for supporting the company's overall regulatory compliance framework, ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines issued by the relevant regulators. The role involves monitoring compliance risks, reviewing processes, providing guidance to business units, and supporting the implementation of internal policies, controls, and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in compliance risk assessments and governance reporting (e.g., PGC, RMC, Board).
  • Conduct compliance monitoring, sample reviews, and assessments of operational processes.
  • Maintain documentation of compliance policies, monitoring plans, evidence, and regulatory correspondence.
  • Monitor new and updated regulations; assess impact and communicate requirements to relevant functions.
  • Provide compliance advice and regulatory interpretation to internal/external stakeholders.
  • Support compliance communication/training programs on local regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Support the development and review of internal policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Support the preparation and timely submission of regulatory reports or requests.

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree in law preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in compliance, legal, audit, or related roles; insurance industry preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and corporate governance principles.
  • Compliance certifications from OIC, AMLO, PDPC, TLAA, or TGIA are an advantage.
  • Good command of spoken and written English.
  • Good analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Teamwork and independent work capability.
  • High integrity, reliability, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
