Job Description

About the Role

DayOne is building Thailand's first 1-gigawatt data center campus in Chon Buri. Phase 1 (60MW) is already energized. The full program runs through 2028. We need an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to own all electrical deliverables — from design through to commissioning — and see them through to the end.

You'll report to the Project Director and lead engineers, technicians, consultants, and subcontractors on-site. Design work is a mix of in-house technical ownership and consultant-managed delivery work. You'll be the senior technical authority directing and reviewing output, not starting from scratch.

Responsibilities

What You'll Own

Design & Planning

  • Own electrical design plans, specifications, and schematics in compliance with Thai codes and international standards (NEC, IEC)
  • Evaluate systems for Tier-level compliance, N+1 and 2N redundancy requirements
  • Use BIM to manage MEP coordination and catch clashes at design stage, not on site

Construction & Oversight

  • Lead all electrical construction — HV/LV, critical power, UPS, generators, switchgear, and substation
  • Manage subcontractors, site teams, and LLE sequencing to protect program and cost
  • Conduct site inspections; troubleshoot issues before they escalate

Budget & Cost Control

  • Own cost estimates and budget proposals for all electrical packages
  • Monitor spend and drive cost efficiency without compromising quality or safety
  • Support tender evaluation and contract negotiation

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure full compliance with Thai regulations and EHS standards throughout
  • Manage local permitting and coordinate with Thai regulatory authorities

Testing & Commissioning

  • Lead CxM, integrated systems testing, and sign-off across all critical electrical infrastructure
  • Ensure SOO, QA/QC, and all documentation are audit-ready at every phase

Reporting

  • Keep the Project Director informed with accurate, timely progress and technical reports
  • Maintain complete project records — changes, approvals, costs, and defects

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5–7 years on mission-critical projects — data centers, pharmaceutical, hospital, or cleanroom
  • Hands-on experience with DC delivery cycles, Tier standards, N+1/2N redundancy, and critical power
  • Proven track record leading CxM and integrated systems testing
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Project or Primavera
  • Comfortable with BIM coordination and MEP clash detection
  • Budget and cost control experience on EPC projects
  • Familiar with Thai permitting and regulatory requirements
  • Fluent Thai · Strong business English

Nice-to-Haves

  • Advanced degree or professional engineering certification (PE license or equivalent)
  • Experience with DCIM platforms and BMS integration
  • Familiarity with prefabrication and long-lead equipment management
  • BIM experience and exposure to multi-phase program delivery

Why join DayOne

A 1GW campus is a once-in-a-career program. The decisions made here will power the region's digital infrastructure for decades. You'll work alongside senior leadership, your technical judgment will carry weight, and you'll have real ownership over how this is delivered — backed by a US$2B+ Series C and a business committed to seeing this through.
