Supervise plant accounting activities including cost accounting, inventory valuation and fixed assets.
Manage the end-to-end month-end, quarterly, and year-end closing processes at the plant level, ensuring accuracy and submission within corporate deadlines.
Analyze production costs and identify areas and collaborate with plant managers to identify and act on efficiency opportunities.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of plant financials.
Monitor and control plant-related expenditures.
Oversee inventory management at the refinery, ensuring accuracy, proper documentation, and compliance with the internal controls.
Serve as the primary point of contact and provide support for internal and external audits.
Collaborate closely with head office to ensure accounting treatments are consistent with Group policies while providing the plant manager with financial insights.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in plant or manufacturing accounting.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing cost flow and cost accounting principles.
Demonstrated ability to travel upcountry as required; this role is based at the head office with frequent travel to operational sites.
Solid quantitative and qualitative analytical capabilities.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
Experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
Strong background in financial controls and compliance.
