With strong international growth ambitions, the company develops, produces, and distributes specialized solutions that enhance animal health and productivity. Dopharma, a leading veterinary pharmaceutical company, seeks a Country Manager to drive commercial strategy and sustainable growth across Southeast Asia, starting in Thailand. This leadership role offers the opportunity to establish market presence, build a team, and shape the company's regional strategy in a dynamic market.

What are you going to do

As a Country Manager at Dopharma Asia, you will be at the forefront of establishing the new subsidiary. You will play a key role in the setup phase, with Dopharma Asia expected to be officially established in Q4 2026, ensuring involvement from the very beginning. You will take ownership of developing and executing the commercial strategy for Thailand and in time, surrounding Southeast Asian markets, such as Vietnam and Philippines. In this role you will drive revenue and margin targets, and position the company's veterinary pharmaceutical portfolio for sustainable market success.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the commercial strategy, identifying growth opportunities and market positioning
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with distributors, key accounts, and regional partners
  • Deliver revenue and margin targets through effective market development and account management
  • Lead, develop, and structure the local team, establishing a performance-oriented organizational culture
  • Monitor market trends, competitive developments, and regulatory changes across the region
  • Coordinate product registration processes and ensure compliance with local regulations
  • Ensure smooth communication between local operations and the headquarters in the Netherlands, managing internal and external stakeholders
  • Represent Dopharma towards customers, partners, and regulatory authorities in the region

Job requirements:

  • University degree in business, life sciences, veterinary science, or related field
  • Experience in the veterinary, animal health, or pharmaceutical industry
  • Proven commercial and managerial experience with track record of achieving revenue targets
  • Knowledge of Southeast Asian markets and understanding of regional business practices
  • Experience in business development, market entry, or regional expansion
  • Fluency in English and proficiency in another local Southeast Asian language
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements in the animal health and pharmaceutical sectors would be an advantage
