Key Responsibilities/ Challenges:
- Manage customs and compliance processes to ensure timely and cost-effective international shipments
- Execute custom brokerage activities such as maintaining shipment records and preparing customs documents, e.g., B/L, declarations, and clearance paperwork
- Accurately classify goods and calculate duties, tariffs, taxes, weights, and volumes
- Coordinate permits, licenses, and certificates required for customs clearance
- Manage filing of customs entries and enter the shipment details into E-paperless program submit to Customs Office.
- Handle daily customs declarations, post-clearance updates, and document archiving
- Able to identify facts and resolve customs-related issues and recommend solutions for external and internal.
- Coordinate with overseas offices, customs authorities, and shipping agents to confirm requirements, costs, and timelines
- Advise customers on customs regulations and trade compliance, including restricted or sanctioned destinations
- Develop a network of contacts to build up relationships and strengthen the DGF product and market knowledge
- To be control tower to cooperate with CS, customer, shipping and freight forwarder to complete customs declaration & clearance
Selection Criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in business management, Logistics or a related field.
- Holding a Customs Broker License is an advantage
- Experience with CargoWise (CW1) is an advantage.
- At least 2-3 years experience in Freight or Logistics.
- Understanding of customs clearance processes, with the ability to interpret regulations and provide practical guidance to ensure compliant and efficient shipments.
- Effective communication skill of spoken and written in English
- Have computer skill; MS Office, Outlook
