The Data Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines, integrating data from different systems, and ensuring data quality and availability for reporting and dashboards. The engineer will work with Kyndryl teams, system operators, building managers, and senior management to make sure the data needed for operations and analytics is accurate, reliable, and easy to use.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain ELT pipelines for IoT, applications, and BI platforms.
• Validate data quality and ensure integration with reporting tools.
• Support continuous improvements in data ingestion and analysis.
• Implement API/ETL/ELT jobs from relatedsystems to industrialize data flows.
• Normalize/enrich datasets (mappings, metadata) for dependable joins and visualizations.
• Instrument lineage and data quality monitors to trace issues back to source quickly.
• Publish data pipeline health view so reliability is visible and actionable.
• Converts operations data into insights for business decision-making.
• Operate pipelines to keep operational analytics reliable and timely.
• Data access and security to maintain RBAC, audit logs, encryption, and masking.

Technical and Professional Requirements

• Experience:5-8yearsof experience working with data ETL/ELT pipeline from multiple sources, and ensure data quality, security, and documentation.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Experience in data integration across multiple systems.
  • Experience in data validation, data quality, and anomaly detection.
  • Experience documenting data processes and maintaining SOPs.
  • Experience supporting analytics or dashboarding teams.
  • Experience building ETL/ELT pipeline
  • Experience in managing application log data.
  • Strong SQL skills for data querying and modeling.
  • Hand-on experience with data lakes, data warehouses, and storage systems.
  • Knowledge of APIs, integration methods, and real-time data ingestion (REST API, MQTT, streaming).
  • Strong Python programming skills for data processing and automation.
  • Experience in data analytics or dashboarding to business requirements.
• Preferred:
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Familiarity with building system or facility management data is a plus.
  • Experience in smart building projects, facility management, or operational technology (OT) systems.
  • Experience handling large-scale, real-time data from sensors, cameras, or meters.
  • Experience working with IoT, sensor, or engineering systems data.
