We're Hiring: Senior / Mid-Level Database Administrator (DBA)

Bangkok | Full-Time | Hybrid or Remote within Thailand

At FlowAccount, we're building Thailand's leading cloud-based accounting and business platform, trusted by tens of thousands of SMEs. As our customer base and product suite continue to grow, so does the scale — and complexity — of our data.

We're looking for a Mid-to-Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to join our technology team. This role is perfect for someone who wants to take real ownership of database strategy, stability, and performance in a high-impact SaaS environment.

What You'll Own

• Design, manage, and continuously improve our production database systems (MSSQL, MongoDB, MySQL and PostgreSQL — AWS RDS).
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and optimal performance for all environments.
• Implement and refine backup, recovery, and failover strategies.
• Collaborate with engineering and DevOps to optimize queries, schema, indexing, and infrastructure.
• Build proactive monitoring and alerting for database health and performance.
• Strengthen our database security and compliance posture.
• Provide technical leadership on database best practices and architecture decisions.

We're Looking for Someone Who

• Has 4+ years experience managing production relational databases in cloud environments.
• Is confident in MySQL or PostgreSQL tuning, profiling, replication, and troubleshooting.
• Understands how to scale databases in high-read/write traffic applications.
• Can work cross-functionally with developers, DevOps, and product managers.
• Has experience in managing CI/CD workflows for DB schema changes and migrations.
• Is proactive, detail-oriented, and takes pride in system reliability.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Redis, MongoDB, ElasticSearch or other NoSQL systems.
• Familiarity with observability tools (e.g. APM, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Exposure to accounting, fintech, or ERP systems (especially Thai tax & regulatory context).
• Scripting or automation skills (Python, Bash, Terraform, Typescript).
