Job Summary
We are looking for a Demand Planning Specialist with experience in the food or beverage industry to support accurate demand forecasting and effective supply chain planning. This role focuses on data analysis, forecast maintenance, and close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Planning to ensure product availability while managing inventory risks, especially for short shelf-life products.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain demand forecasts by SKU, channel, and customer using historical sales data, seasonality, and promotional inputs
- Analyze demand trends, forecast variances, and root causes; provide insights and improvement recommendations
- Coordinate with Sales & Marketing to collect inputs on promotions, new product launches, and market changes
- Support S&OP / Demand Review meetings with data preparation and analysis
- Monitor forecast performance (Forecast Accuracy, Bias) and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Work closely with Supply Planning and Production to align demand with supply constraints
- Manage demand planning for food and beverage products, considering shelf-life, expiry, and freshness requirements
- Maintain planning master data accuracy in ERP / planning systems
- Prepare regular reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related fields
- 25 years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Chain, or related roles
- Experience in food, beverage, or FMCG manufacturing is required
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel
- Experience using ERP or demand planning tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
