About the Role
This role is responsible for identifying and assessing business risks, strengthening internal control systems, establishing governance practices, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will partner closely with business leaders across the organization to drive a strong risk culture, enhance operational effectiveness, and support sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Risk Management & Internal Control Strategy
- Evaluate and review business processes across functions to identify key risks and recommend appropriate internal control measures.
- Design, enhance, and implement risk management and internal control frameworks to support business objectives.
- Establish policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure effective governance and control environments.
- Monitor the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements where necessary.
Enterprise Risk Management
- Assess internal and external risk factors that may impact business operations and strategic objectives.
- Develop and maintain the Company's risk management policies, frameworks, and risk mitigation plans.
- Ensure risk management practices are aligned with corporate objectives, regulatory requirements, and Thai Union Group standards.
- Promote risk awareness and proactive risk management throughout the organization.
Risk Monitoring & Compliance
- Develop risk prevention guidelines and action plans for key business risks.
- Monitor the implementation of risk management initiatives and evaluate the effectiveness of mitigation measures.
- Track risk exposure and provide recommendations to address emerging risks and control gaps.
- Ensure business units comply with risk management policies and established control procedures.
Corporate Governance & Internal Control Advisory
- Review operational practices across departments to ensure compliance with company policies and governance requirements.
- Provide consultation and recommendations on internal control, compliance, and corporate governance matters.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes and strengthen operational controls.
- Support management in fostering a strong control and compliance culture throughout the organization.
Reporting & Management Communication
- Prepare and present reports on risk assessments, risk management activities, internal control effectiveness, and process improvement initiatives.
- Deliver key risk insights and recommendations to senior management and relevant committees.
- Support management decision-making through comprehensive risk and control analysis.
- Prepare materials and presentations for executive management reviews.
People Management
- Lead, coach, develop, and evaluate team members to ensure high performance and continuous professional growth.
- Allocate resources, set objectives, and monitor team performance against departmental goals.
- Foster a collaborative and results-oriented working environment.
Other Responsibilities
- Perform special projects and other assignments as directed by management.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Law, Business Administration, Risk Management, or related fields.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Risk Management, Internal Control, Internal Audit, Compliance, Finance, Accounting, or related areas, including experience in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Internal Control, Corporate Governance, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing risk management frameworks and internal control systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with experience leading and developing teams.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, CRMA, CISA, or FRM are an advantage.
