A fast-growing digital infrastructure platform is hiring an Operations Director to lead operational readiness, site operations strategy, and long-term uptime performance for its data centre development project in Bangkok. This is a foundational leadership hire supporting a new market-entry facility in Thailand, making it a high-impact opportunity to shape site standards, uptime culture, and operational scalability from day one.
The role
You will take ownership of the full operational strategy for the Thailand platform, ensuring the facility is transitioned into a best-in-class, mission-critical operating environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Build site operations standards, SOPs, governance, and uptime frameworks
- Drive operational readiness from construction through commissioning and handover
- Lead FM, critical environment, vendor, and service partner strategy
- Establish EHS, compliance, incident response, and escalation protocols
- Oversee reliability of critical M&E systems including UPS, generators, cooling, BMS, and EPMS
- Support customer operational requirements across hyperscale and enterprise environments
- Build and lead the Thailand operations team as the platform scales
- Report to regional leadership on KPI, SLA, risk, business continuity, and capacity performance
Requirements
- Strong leadership experience in data centre operations, mission critical facilities, or hyperscale environments
- Proven ownership of uptime, critical systems reliability, and incident management
- Experience taking sites from construction / commissioning into live operations
- Strong vendor, FM, and contractor ecosystem management in Thailand
- Familiarity with colocation, cloud, or hyperscale customer environments
- Fluent in Thai and Chinese for local and regional stakeholder management
