Job Description

Position Title: Business Development Manager / Director Hotel Management Services

Job Summary:

The position is responsible for managing the strategic negotiations and execution of hotel management agreements and related services (HMAs) with third-party owners to drive the growth of the company's hotel brand(s). The role requires expertise in business development, contract negotiations and financial acumen to secure new partnerships that align with the company's financial and operational goals. This position will also be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with third-party owners, supporting long-term growth for the Company's hospitality platform.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end negotiations and structuring of hotel management agreements (HMAs) with third-party owners, securing optimal terms for the Company.
  • Ensure all HMAs meet financial return criteria and provide sustainable income for the Company.
  • Collaborate with finance and asset management teams to optimize profit margins and ROI.
  • Build forecasts and undertake financial modelling for potential hotels to be managed by the Company.
  • Conduct market surveys, collect reliable data and maintain market intelligence in order to drive hotel HMAs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including hotel owners, partners, and internal teams.
  • Foster long-term partnerships that align with the company's growth strategies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all matters related to HMAs.
  • Conduct thorough market research and stay up to date on industry trends, competitor strategies, and potential opportunities.
  • Evaluate market trends, competitor activity, and potential acquisition targets to support the company's expansion strategy.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management to guide strategic decisions.
  • Identify new partnership opportunities to expand the company's managed hotel portfolio, driving brand growth across domestic and international markets.
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional teams focused on expanding the hotel portfolio.
  • Work closely with Business Development, Asset Management, Finance, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure seamless execution of agreements and fulfillment of contract terms.
  • Develop internal capabilities in structuring and managing contracts for the company's hotel portfolio.
  • Develop and position the Company's hotel brands.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Company.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Real Estate, Law, Finance or related fields. An MBA or Master's degree is preferred.

Experience:

  • At least 8-10 years of experience in HMA business development, hotel management, real estate, or related fields, with proven experience in negotiating HMAs.
  • Strong background in business development, with a successful track record of expanding a hotel brand or similar business through partnerships.
  • Experience managing relationships with third-party hotel owners and ensuring alignment with operational and financial goals.

Skills:

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong financial acumen, including P&L management and ROI analysis.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
  • Ability to formulate long-term strategies and understand the competitive landscape.

  • Ability to cultivate and manage relationships with key industry stakeholders.
