Events Manager, BKK
About the role
As an Events Manager at The Great Room (TGR), you will be responsible for developing, implementing and executing the event plans in line with brand values and business strategy in order to attract potential customers and retain existing ones.
A successful Events Manager will be in charge of event management for all community, partnership and external client events. He/She is responsible for growing the business profitably (from Events) both reactively and proactively.
The Events Manager will report to the General Manager.
What you'll do
Be the Event Creator & Curator
- Develop, produce and deliver all projects and activities, which are of relevance to members of TGR, from proposal to delivery
- Manage operational and administrative functions to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and closed off timely, ensuring all invoices are settled and withholding tax certificates are administered accordingly
- Deliver events on time, within budget, that meet expectations
- Prepare Event venue rate cards, sales brochures and location specific SOPs
- Ensure excellent customer service and prompt response to event enquiries
- Attend relevant networking events to build database of potential clients and partners
Events Revenue KPI
- Oversee and manage revenue updates from the Marketing team in order to achieve monthly sales target
- Brainstorm on effective and creative strategies to outreach to target industries, including proactive sales strategies
- Manage various booking channels and customer enquiries
- Liaise with members directly and build member relationships, which includes responding to enquiries
- Oversee late payment collection/updates
Internal/External Management
- Communicate, maintain and develop client and vendor relationships
- Onboard, orientate, manage and train Events Executives/Events Interns for each location
- Manage and allocate team manpower for daily operations
- Oversee and support timely training for events team members for any upgrade or integration of programs/systems used by the team
Who you are
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of events management experience
- Proven track record in event organisation and event operations
- Capable of coaching team member(s) and have leadership skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Qualities
- Able to organise, plan and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results
- Able to effectively make sound decisions under tight deadlines
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
- Have strong technical aptitude and analytical skills
- Must be team oriented and be able to lead productive, multi-discipline meetings
- Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its values, and the employees, while maintaining constant focus on meeting/exceeding requirements and expectations
