About this Role
The Export Sales Manager plays a critical role in expanding the company's international presence within the building materials sector. This role focuses on identifying new market opportunities, managing distributor relationships, and driving revenue growth across global regions. The ideal candidate has strong commercial acumen, excellent crosscultural communication skills, and deep understanding of building materials or construction products. You will act as the key link between the company and international customers, ensuring a smooth export process and sustainable business partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute export sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share targets.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop new international customers, distributors, and partners.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competition, pricing, and industry trends in targeted countries.
- Expand business into new territories while strengthening existing markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with overseas distributors, importers, and key accounts.
- Provide sales training, product knowledge, and marketing support to partners.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
- Work closely with logistics, production, and supply chain teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Monitor export documentation, shipping schedules, Incoterms, and compliance with international trade regulations.
- Provide forecast accuracy and pipeline visibility to internal teams.
- Analyze sales performance, market penetration, and profitability by region.
- Prepare periodic reports and present insights to management.
- Recommend corrective or growth strategies based on data and field feedback.
- Represent the company at international trade fairs, exhibitions, and customer visits.
- Coordinate product demonstrations and promotional activities.
- Identify potential partnerships, agents, or project opportunities in target markets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of export sales experience, preferably in building materials, construction products, or industrial goods.
- Proven track record of managing distributors or key accounts in international markets.
- Experience working with Middle East, ASEAN or South Asia is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of export procedures, Incoterms, and international trade regulations.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in fastpaced environments with crossfunctional teams.
- Strategic thinking with strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluency in English required; additional languages (e.g., Arabic, Mandarin, Spanish) are a plus.
