About the Role:
The Construction Manager will be responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities for data center projects in Thailand, ensuring that work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, budget, and schedule. This role requires strong leadership to manage contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel, while also ensuring adherence to local regulatory and health and safety requirements.
What you'll do:
- Site Supervision: Lead and oversee daily on-site construction activities, managing site operations, resources, and materials for data center projects.
- Project Execution: Monitor construction progress, enforce quality control, and ensure all work meets design specifications and standards.
- Regulatory & Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all Thai construction regulations, environmental guidelines, and the Occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental Act (OSHA) on site.
- Contractor Management: Supervise and coordinate the work of contractors and subcontractors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Commissioning Support: Collaborate with commissioning teams to facilitate the testing and handover of data center infrastructure and systems.
- Parallel Design-Build: Work closely with design teams to integrate evolving design elements into ongoing construction, adapting plans as necessary for efficient project delivery.
- Budget & Schedule Control: Monitor project expenditures, identify potential cost overruns, and implement measures to keep the project on budget and schedule.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular progress reports to the Senior Project Manager, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and solutions.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in construction management, with at least 3-5 years in data center construction projects in Thailand or a similar regional context.
- Extensive knowledge of data center infrastructure and construction processes.
- Proven ability to manage and enforce health and safety regulations on complex construction sites in Thailand.
- Experience with commissioning of critical infrastructure systems (MEP, IT).
- Familiarity with design-build delivery methods and managing concurrent design and construction activities.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in project management software.
- Fluent in English and Thai (written and spoken) is highly desirable.
