About the Company
Pan Orient Energy (Siam) Ltd. is an upstream Oil & Gas Exploration & Production (E&P) operator in Thailand. The company currently operates the L53 onshore petroleum concession with producing assets in Nakhon Pathom and Suphanburi Provinces and is preparing for the development of a new petroleum concession project.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 10–15 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounting, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial or supervisory position.
- Strong experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, cash flow and treasury management.
- Solid knowledge of TFRS, taxation, financial reporting, month-end/year-end closing, and internal financial controls.
- Hands-on experience in cash flow forecasting, liquidity and working capital management, banking transactions, and financial modelling.
- Proven experience in managing and developing Finance & Accounting teams. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business partnering skills, with the ability to provide financial insights to senior management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with ERP/accounting systems.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, or other natural resources industries is highly preferred. Knowledge of PITA, Non-PITA, and petroleum-related regulator
General Scope
- Report directly to General Manager of Pan Orient Energy (Siam) Ltd.
- Key responsibilities on Financial Planning & Budgeting, Financial Analysis, Reporting and Compliance, Cost and Cashflow Management, Strategic Support and System & Process Improvement
- To lead the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing the company's financial records, maintaining financial controls, ensuring compliance with accounting standards & tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Finance
- Develop and manage financial planning and forecasting processes.
- Provide detailed financial analysis and reports including profitability, cash flow, monitor & track budget performance and analyzing variances.
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
- Monitor cash flow and ensuring sufficient liquidity for day-to-day operations and optimizing working capital and managing cash reserves
- Oversee short-term and long-term cash management, including cash forecasting and capital expenditures.
- Prepare a yearly cashflow forecast based on Work Program & Budget and Production forecast and update wherever required.
- Prepare the Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cashflow and Quarterly dividend for Quarterly Board Meeting including the quarterly cashflow forecast
- Review cash movement report for cash management, cash flow and cash forecast report.
- Appointed as the company's bank system administrator, with the authority to sign approvals and directly coordinate with bank
Accounting
- Ensure financial reports comply with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
- Review and analyze inventory reports and financial performance reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Verify and review the month-end, the quarter-end and year-end closing processes
- To support monthly, quarterly and annual reports or other matters to Head Office and Shareholder.
- Coordinate and lead in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts and Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and report findings
- Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger and ensure all journal entries are accurate & timely and ensure all accounts are reconciled
- Ensure company compliance with tax law & regulations; PITA and Non-PITA
- Verify quarterly report (P.9) and annual SRB report submitted to DMF.
- Implement and enhance financial systems, tools, and processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Lead and manage the accounting team, including assigning tasks, reviewing work, and providing coaching and mentoring to ensure its functioning according to accounting governance, procedures & policies, regulatory and company standards.
