Finance Controller
We are seeking an experienced Finance Controller to lead and oversee the full spectrum of finance and accounting operations for a manufacturing business. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, internal controls, budgeting, and business partnering to support operational and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all finance and accounting activities, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cost Accounting, and Taxation.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Oversee manufacturing cost accounting, inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysis.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial performance analysis.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax authorities, and other regulatory bodies.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, internal controls, and statutory requirements.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business growth and operational efficiency.
- Lead process improvement initiatives and drive finance transformation projects.
- Partner closely with operations, supply chain, procurement, and management teams to improve profitability and performance.
- Manage and develop the finance and accounting team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Finance and Accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial position.
- Strong background in the manufacturing industry is essential.
- Prior experience with a reputable audit firm is highly preferred.
- Solid knowledge of financial reporting standards, taxation, internal controls, and cost accounting.
- Hands-on experience with SAP ERP is required.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Preferred Background
- Manufacturing industry experience with exposure to cost accounting and inventory management.
- Audit experience from a Big 4 or international audit firm.
- Experience supporting regional or multinational business operations.
- Familiarity with ERP implementation, automation, or process improvement projects.
