Finance Manager

About the Company

We are seeking a hands-on and entrepreneurial Finance Manager to join a newly established business in Thailand. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in building the finance function from the ground up, establishing processes, controls, and reporting frameworks to support the company's growth.

About the Role

In this role, you will oversee the full spectrum of finance and accounting activities while acting as a strategic business partner to local management.

Responsibilities:

Finance & Accounting Operations

• Manage the full set of accounts, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Cash Management.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare financial statements in compliance with local accounting standards and company policies.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and maintain strong internal controls.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare monthly management reports, financial analysis, and performance dashboards.
• Analyze financial results and provide recommendations to support business decisions.
• Monitor cash flow and working capital to ensure healthy financial operations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning activities.

Tax & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including Corporate Income Tax, VAT, Withholding Tax, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and government authorities.
• Manage annual audits and statutory filing requirements.

Business Set-Up & Process Improvement

• Establish finance policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks.
• Participate in ERP implementation and finance system setup.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
• Support company registration, banking setup, and other finance-related establishment activities.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the key finance contact for local and regional management.
• Collaborate with external service providers, banks, auditors, and consultants.
• Provide financial guidance to support business expansion and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
• CPA or equivalent professional qualification is highly preferred.
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in Finance and Accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial position.
• Experience in setting up finance functions, start-up environments, or newly established businesses is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and statutory compliance.
• Hands-on experience in month-end closing and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems and process implementation projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
