Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee end-to-end financial operations for retail business, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards
- Analyze financial performance, identify variances, and provide insights to support management decision-making
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of management reports and dashboards
Retail & Commercial Finance
- Monitor retail KPIs such as sales performance, gross margin, inventory turnover, shrinkage, and store profitability
- Partner with merchandising, operations, and marketing teams to support pricing, promotion, and cost control strategies
- Analyze store-level and channel-level performance (offline & online, if applicable)
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes
- Track actual performance against budget and provide actionable recommendations
- Support business expansion plans, including new store openings or market entry
Accounting, Tax & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities
- Oversee AP, AR, GL, and month-end / year-end closing processes
Cash Flow & Working Capital
- Manage cash flow planning, working capital, and inventory financing
- Optimize cost structure and improve financial efficiency across the organization
Team & Stakeholder Management
- Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture
- Act as a trusted finance business partner to management and cross-functional teams
Job Requirements
Education & Professional Background
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
- CPA or equivalent professional qualification is a strong plus, but not mandatory
Experience
- 710+ years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably within retail, FMCG, fashion retail, or other dynamic industries
- Experience in pre-MNC, regional, or fast-growing organizations is highly preferred
- Strong exposure to commercial finance and retail operations
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding of retail business drivers and financial controls
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Hands-on, proactive, and business-oriented mindset
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
