Head of Commercial
Salary: 150 - 200K

This role is ideal for a senior commercial leader who understands how to combine commercial performance, customer experience, design, art, and placemaking to create a differentiated destination and long-term business value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead the overall commercial strategy and business plan to drive revenue growth, profitability, and long-term asset value.
- Lead the commercial development of retail, lifestyle, F&B, art, design, and experience-driven concepts to strengthen the destination's positioning.
- Develop and execute strategies for tenant mix, leasing, commercial partnerships, and business development to optimize asset performance and commercial returns.
- Identify new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and innovative commercial concepts to increase foot traffic, customer engagement, and revenue.
- Collaborate with architects, designers, artists, creative partners, tenants, and other stakeholders to translate creative concepts into commercially viable opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key tenants, business partners, and external stakeholders.
- Monitor market trends, customer behavior, competitive landscape, and asset performance to identify growth opportunities and inform commercial decisions.
- Lead and develop a high-performing commercial team and collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, Development, and other relevant functions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in shopping malls, commercial real estate, community malls, retail, lifestyle destinations, mixed-use developments, or related businesses.
- Proven experience in a senior commercial leadership role, such as GM, Commercial Director, Business Development Director, Property Director, Mall Director, or equivalent.
- Proven track record in P&L management, commercial strategy, asset performance, leasing, tenant management, and revenue generation.
- Strong understanding of retail operations, customer experience, and destination development, with the ability to drive foot traffic, tenant performance, and overall asset value.
- Experience or strong exposure to Art, Design, Architecture, Creative Industries, Cultural Projects, or Placemaking is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage senior stakeholders, including tenants, business partners, architects, designers, artists, and creative partners.
- Strong strategic thinking, commercial acumen, negotiation, leadership, and executive communication skills, with the ability to connect creative concepts with commercial objectives.
