We are looking for a Head of Data to lead our data transformation journey building the foundations of our data platform, driving analytics innovation, and fostering a data-driven culture.In this role, you will shape LINE Thailand's data vision and strategy, and lead a team of data professionals to design, develop, and operate a modern, scalable, and secure data ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute LINE Thailand's data vision and strategy in alignment with business and technology goals
- Lead and nurture a high-performing data team (including data engineers, analysts, and data scientists), fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration
- Partner with business, product, and engineering leaders to drive data-informed decision making across the company
- Build and operate a modern, scalable data platform with robust ingestion, transformation, and governance frameworks
- Ensure reliability, quality, and security across all data systems and workflows
- Develop and implement AIOps and automation practices to enhance operational efficiency and system performance
- Enable self-service analytics by defining standards, tools, and guidelines that empower teams company-wide
- Lead data governance and compliance initiatives in accordance with PDPA, GDPR, and LINE Group standards
- Promote responsible and secure data use across all business functions
- Drive innovation by researching and piloting emerging data technologies and methodologies to enhance business impact
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in data-related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven success in building and leading data teams and platforms at scale
- Strong background in data architecture, data engineering, and cloud-based data platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Experience with Apache Iceberg, Data Lakehouse, and AIOps implementation
- Deep understanding of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks
- Proficiency in modern data tools and technologies (e.g., Airflow, Airbyte, Kafka, dbt, BigQuery, Snowflake, Tableau, Looker)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Passion for driving a data-driven culture and enabling teams through data accessibility and insight
- Excellent command of English and Thai (written and spoken)
