Job Title:Head of Education & Public Programs (Museum's educational)

Role Overview

The Head of Education & Public Programs is responsible for the development and management of the museum's educational initiatives and public programming. This role focuses on creating meaningful learning experiences, increasing audience engagement, and supporting the organization's visitor and revenue goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Education Program Development: Develop and implement educational programs such as school visits, workshops, and guided tours. Translate curatorial content into accessible and engaging learning experiences tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Public Programs Management: Plan and oversee a wide range of public programs including talks, events, and family-oriented activities. Manage the overall programming calendar and ensure consistent quality of delivery and audience experience.
  • Audience Engagement: Design and execute strategies to increase audience participation and engagement. Support initiatives that encourage repeat visitation and strengthen connections with diverse communities.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of education officers, facilitators, and docents. Oversee scheduling, training, and performance development to ensure high-quality program delivery.
  • Partnerships and Outreach: Build and maintain relationships with schools, universities, and external organizations. Develop collaborative programs and outreach initiatives to expand audience reach.
  • Program Evaluation and Insights: Collect and analyze participant feedback and program data. Use insights to continuously improve program effectiveness and audience satisfaction.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Manage budgets related to educational and public programs. Ensure efficient allocation of resources and support revenue-generating initiatives such as paid workshops and special events.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Museum Studies, Arts Management, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in education, public programs, or museum environments.
  • Proven experience in team and project management.
  • Strong skills in program design and audience engagement.
  • Fluency in Thai and English is preferred.
