Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision:

  • Define and articulate the company's long-term product vision and strategy, aligning with business goals and focusing on virtual banking innovations. This includes analyzing market trends, user demands, and fintech advancements (e.g., AI tools, digital payments)
  • Develop and implement a clear product strategy that aligns with Ascend Money's goals, focusing on the Virtual Bank, market trends, user needs, and fintech innovations like digital payments and AI/ Machine learning tools.

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Lead and mentor a cross-functional product team, including Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, and specialists in Wealth and Financial Services. Set clear objectives, foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration, and drive continuous improvement to support virtual banking initiatives.

Product Development & Execution:

  • Oversee the full product lifecycle—from ideation and MVP creation to launch, optimization, and retirement—emphasizing virtual banking features like mobile apps, online account tools, and automated services.
  • Use Agile methodologies to collaborate with Engineering and Tech teams, manage budgets and resources for cost-effectiveness, and prioritize tasks based on data-driven insights.

Customer & Market Insights:

  • Translate customer needs, data analytics, market research, and competitor analysis into actionable decisions, with a focus on virtual banking. Monitor KPIs (e.g., user engagement, MAU) and gather feedback to refine the product roadmap, spotting opportunities for new features or improvements that enhance digital experiences and regulatory compliance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with C-level leaders, including the CTO and Marketing teams, to align product strategies with business, operational, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop go-to-market plans and roadmaps that integrate virtual banking projects with broader financial services, ensuring seamless delivery and high-quality outcomes.

Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Ensure all products adhere to financial regulations, data privacy standards, and banking compliance (e.g., from BOT), particularly in virtual banking contexts. Incorporate risk management into product decisions to maintain security and trust in digital-first services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a technology, fintech, or banking company.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling digital products, ideally in virtual banking, financial services, payments, or related industries.
  • Experience working in agile environments and managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, innovative setting.
  • Strong understanding of fintech and banking regulations, user experience (UX) principles, and data-driven product development methodologies.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into actionable product plans, particularly for virtual banking innovations.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience in using metrics and KPIs to guide decision-making and measure product success in banking and fintech contexts.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a rapidly changing environment, with a passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and digital banking advancements.
  • Preferred: Experience with virtual banking products, digital transformation in financial services or emerging technologies like AI, blockchain, or cloud computing, and knowledge of regulatory compliance in virtual banking
