Job Purpose
The HR Director will act as a strategic partner to the leadership team, driving people strategy that supports rapid growth, innovation, and scalability of the Education Technology business.
This role requires a strong background in Technology-driven organizations, with deep expertise in building modern HR systems, attracting top tech & education talent, developing agile culture, and enabling high-performance teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic HR Leadership
- Define and execute People & Organization Strategy aligned with business goals, product roadmap, and growth plans
- Act as a trusted advisor to CEO and leadership team on workforce planning, organizational design, and people-related decisions
- Translate business strategy into scalable HR frameworks suitable for a fast-growing EdTech environment
2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Design and lead end-to-end Talent Acquisition strategy for key roles such as Technology, Product, Data, Content, Education, and Commercial teams
- Build employer branding that attracts high-quality talent from Technology and Digital-first businesses
- Develop proactive workforce planning to support rapid scaling, new product launches, and market expansion
- Leverage data, technology, and AI tools to enhance recruitment efficiency and quality of hire
3. HR Systems, Process & Digital Transformation
- Implement and optimize HR Technology / HRIS to support recruitment, performance management, learning, and employee data analytics
- Drive automation and data-driven decision-making across HR functions
- Ensure HR processes are agile, scalable, and aligned with modern tech-company standards
4. Performance Management & Rewards
- Design and oversee a Performance Management System that supports OKRs / KPIs, agile performance reviews, and continuous feedback
- Develop competitive and market-aligned Compensation & Benefits strategies for tech and EdTech talent
- Ensure pay-for-performance culture and internal equity
5. Learning, Leadership & Capability Development
- Lead leadership development initiatives for executives, managers, and future leaders
- Build learning frameworks that support upskilling in technology, digital mindset, innovation, and education excellence
- Promote continuous learning culture aligned with EdTech values
6. Organization Development & Culture
- Shape and strengthen organizational culture that promotes innovation, collaboration, agility, and learner-centric mindset
- Lead change management initiatives during growth, restructuring, or digital transformation
- Drive employee engagement, retention, and employer experience across the employee lifecycle
7. Employee Relations & Governance
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and governance standards
- Act as a role model for ethical leadership, fairness, and people-centric decision making
- Handle complex employee relations issues with professionalism and discretion
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related fields
Experience
- Minimum 1215 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in senior leadership (Head of HR / HR Director level)
- Strong experience from Technology, Digital, SaaS, Platform, or Technology-driven businesses is mandatory
- Experience in high-growth, fast-paced, or transformation environments
- Exposure to Education, EdTech, or Knowledge-based businesses is a strong advantage
