Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic Sales Engineer to promote and sell pump systems for HVAC and fire protection applications in Thailand. The role focuses on working closely with M&E consultants, contractors, developers, and industrial clients. The candidate should have an engineering background, good English communication skills, and up to 5 years of experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and specify pump products for:
- HVAC systems (chilled water, condenser water, pressure boosting)
- Fire protection systems (fire pumps, jockey pumps, diesel pump sets)
- Build relationships with:
- M&E consultants and design institutes
- Main contractors and MEP contractors
- Property developers, factories, and building owners
- Review tender documents, TOR, and technical specifications.
- Prepare pump selection, technical proposals, and commercial quotations.
- Liaise with internal application/engineering teams for technical support.
- Conduct product presentations and technical meetings with clients.
- Follow up on project pipelines and secure specifications (spec-in activities).
- Support project execution team during order handover stage.
- Visit project sites and attend meetings across Bangkok and upcountry.
- Maintain sales reports, forecasts, and CRM updates.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in pump, HVAC, fire protection, or MEP-related business.
- Basic understanding of pump systems, hydraulic calculations, and equipment selection.
- Knowledge of local standards and practices is an advantage:
- Fire protection standards (e.g., NFPA)
- HVAC system design basics
Skills & Competencies
- Good command of English (spoken and written) for technical communication.
- Thai language: native proficiency required.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills (important for Thai business culture).
- Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders (consultants, contractors, internal teams).
- Good presentation and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated and target oriented.
Technical Skills
- Familiarity with pump selection software is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to read AutoCAD drawings is an advantage.
Additional Requirements
- Own car and valid driving license (preferred for client visits).
- Willing to travel upcountry for project visits (e.g., EEC, industrial zones).
- Able to work under pressure and meet sales targets.
Preferred Experience (Advantage)
- Experience dealing with well-known consultants (e.g., PIA, A49, Meinhardt Thailand).
- Experience with contractors in HVAC/fire systems.
- Exposure to projects such as:
- Commercial buildings (office, hotel, etc.)
- Industrial plants
- Data Centers/hospitals
