About the role

We are looking for a hands-on IT Support Engineer to keep our team's devices, networks, and systems secure and running smoothly. You will own the end-to-end IT lifecycle for our employees — from provisioning laptops on day one to maintaining firewall policies, enforcing access controls, and supporting internal security audits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provision, configure, maintain, and decommission company devices (Windows and macOS).
  • Provide IT support for hardware, software, network, and access-related issues.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, SSO, and MFA across business systems.
  • Maintain office network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, Wi-Fi, and internet connectivity.
  • Implement security best practices, patch management, and endpoint protection.
  • Support internal audits, compliance requirements, and security initiatives.
  • Maintain IT documentation, asset inventory, and operational procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve IT processes and automate routine tasks.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in an IT support, sysadmin, or infrastructure role
  • Hands-on experience setting up and managing laptops (Windows & macOS) with MDM tools (e.g. Jamf, Intune, or similar)
  • Working knowledge of firewall administration — experience with any enterprise or SMB firewall solution (hardware or cloud-based) and solid understanding of rule management, NAT, VPN, and traffic filtering concepts
  • Solid grasp of LAN/WAN networking: VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and general TCP/IP troubleshooting
  • Experience managing user identities and access via Active Directory, Azure AD, Google Workspace, or Okta
  • Familiarity with IT security best practices: endpoint hardening, MFA enforcement, patch management, and least-privilege access
  • Prior involvement in IT audits or ISO/SOC compliance processes is a strong plus
  • Strong communication skills — able to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical colleagues
  • Organised, proactive, and comfortable owning tasks end-to-end in a fast-moving environment
