Primary Responsibilities

MANAGEMENT

  • Assist all management and team members of the Legal Department to handle and complete any assignments which are related to legal members;
  • Administer compliance functions and monitoring adequacy of plan to achieve the objectives of the Company and objectives of Legal Department.
  • Represent Legal Department to participate in any meetings which are arranged, internally and externally, when required; and
  • Performed other management duties as required and as assigned.

LEGAL COUNSEL

  • Counsel and support to stabilize problem areas for the following business sections:
  • Owned Hotels
  • Group Purchasing Department
  • Project Management Department
  • Corporate Human Resources Department
  • Viman Suriya Co., Ltd. (Dusit Central Park)
  • Investment and New Business Department
  • All Education Sections (ie. Dusit Thani College, LCBD and DTEC)
  • Develop standard agreements related to day-to-day activities of owned hotels to be utilized in hotel operations of Dusit International and its affiliates or subsidiaries as assigned by Supervisors.
  • Be responsible for and handling a wide variety of legal matters involving local and international contract or agreement , real estate financing and development, litigation and dispute management, government regulation and environment matters.
  • Provide legal advice and give legal support for each working team to handle all matters and cases involving all the company's projects
  • Be responsible for regulatory analysis of laws governing Hotel Industries and Commercial activities.
  • Coordinate with Law Firms in managing laws governing Hotel industries and Commercial activities.
  • Perform any legal services as assigned by supervisor

Job Description And Accountabilities

  • In-charge of and supervise on all hotel operation matters related to Group Purchasing, Project Management Department and owned hotels
  • In-charge of local and overseas disputed and litigations
  • In-charge of all property managements
  • In-charge of all labour/ HR issues
  • In-charge of hotel laws.
  • In-charge of ad hoc matters as assigned
  • Support of Education Projects
  • Support of property investment and acquisition projects including real estate projects and joint venture projects and Dusit Central Park
  • Coordinate and negotiate with Government Department in some case with the legal issues.

Job Requirements

  • Thai national, graduated from a reputable law institution (Bachelor's Degree or higher in Law (LLM).)
  • Has 5- 10 years,, at least Legal working experience. Preferable in property and real estate business
  • In-dept knowledge of Law and Regulation in property and real estate business, litigation, labour laws or related field.
  • Having excellent skill drafting and review contracts and legal documents
  • Ability to apply legal knowledge in multilateral business to solve legal issue
  • Fluent in Thai and English, both written and speaking
