Responsibilities:
1. Legal Disputes and Litigation Management
- Manage and represent the company in all legal proceedings, including court cases and consumer protection matters
- Develop and implement litigation strategies for various legal disputes
- Liaise with government authorities and regulatory bodies for all legal approvals and compliance matters
2. Contract Management and Legal Documentation
- Oversee the drafting, review, and negotiation of complex contracts and legal agreements
- Establish and maintain proper legal documentation systems and controls
- Ensure all legal documents align with business objectives and compliance requirements
3. Risk Management and Compliance Oversight
- Lead the Risk Management Committee as Secretary and drive risk mitigation strategies
- Monitor organizational compliance with Yanmar Group's global code of conduct and policies
- Develop and implement effective compliance frameworks and monitoring systems
4. Legal Leadership and Advisory
- Provide strategic legal counsel to senior management and board members
- Develop and deliver legal training programs to enhance organizational compliance
- Stay updated on legal developments affecting company operations and strategy
Knowledges and Experience Required:
- Education:Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B) or equivalent from a recognized university in Thailand. A Master's degree (LL.M) and/or passing the Thai Bar () is highly preferred.
- Experience:Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in legal roles, including time at a law firm and within a corporate Legal Department, preferably in a multinational setting. Must have significant experience in:
(a) Litigation and dispute resolution, including drafting complaints and representing a company at court.
(b) Managing consumer protection cases in Bangkok and provincial areas.
(c) Corporate compliance and risk management frameworks.
