Overview Of The Role

The M&A Associate will support the Head of Business Development in identifying, evaluating, and executing new business opportunities across RMA Group's global operations. Based at the company's headquarters in Bangkok, this role provides exposure to multiple business sectors and strategic initiatives including acquisitions, joint ventures, and new market entry. The position plays a key role in supporting strategic growth initiatives through analysis, project coordination, and collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support start-up, acquisition, and joint venture/partnership projects, including developing business projections and assisting with transaction structures and contracts.
  • Conduct market research and background analysis on potential new markets, joint venture partners, and acquisition targets.
  • Assist in developing negotiation strategies for commercial agreements and support negotiations with partners and third parties.
  • Engage with potential partners, joint venture stakeholders, and in-country teams to support business development initiatives.
  • Coordinate updates and communications with senior leadership including the CEO, executive management, and the Board.
  • Prepare presentations and communication materials for senior management and board-level discussions.
  • Manage relationships and engagements with external partners such as legal advisors, banks, and regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare presentation materials for partners, acquisition targets, and other external stakeholders.
  • Lead and coordinate the planning and execution of special projects as required.

Background And Experience


  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex business issues and develop strategic alternatives or solutions.
  • Experience evaluating project economics and presenting recommendations to senior management.
  • Proven financial modeling capability and a strong understanding of financial statements and business drivers.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage internal teams, senior executives, board members, and external partners.
  • Demonstrated project management capability, including planning, coordination, implementation, and delivery of strategic projects.
  • High proficiency in English (both written and verbal) to effectively communicate with global partners.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to work across multicultural teams.
  • Undergraduate degree required; MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in accounting, M&A advisory, investment banking, or similar roles.

This position is based at RMA Group's headquarters in Bangkok, Thailand, and involves collaboration with teams and partners across multiple countries. The role may require occasional travel, primarily within Southeast Asia, to support business development initiatives and partnership activities.
