Job Description

Position Context

  • The NVH CAE Lead Engineer is responsible for leading virtual NVH development activities and ensuring vehicle NVH targets are achieved through simulation-driven engineering.
  • The role serves as the technical focal point for CAE analysis, correlation, and optimization of vehicle noise, vibration, and harshness performance from concept through production.

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead NVH CAE activities for complete vehicle and subsystem development.
  • Define and execute simulation plans in line with vehicle NVH targets and program milestones.
  • Perform and guide:
    • Modal Analysis
    • Frequency Response Analysis (FRF)
    • Structural Dynamics Analysis
    • Vibro-Acoustic Analysis
    • Transfer Path Analysis (TPA)
    • Road Noise and Powertrain NVH Analysis
  • Develop, maintain , and correlate finite element (FE) models with physical test data.
  • Identify root causes of NVH issues and recommend design improvements.
  • Work closely with Design, Vehicle Integration, Testing, and Validation teams to ensure target achievement.
  • Support prototype and production vehicle NVH assessments.
  • Review supplier deliverables and provide technical guidance.
  • Mentor junior engineers and drive CAE best practices and process improvements.
  • Support benchmark studies and competitive vehicle assessments.
Requirements

Education / Professional Knowledge

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical , Automotive, Aerospace, or Acoustics Engineering.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in automotive CAE with strong NVH development exposure.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of vehicle NVH principles and complete vehicle integration.
  • Experience with automotive CAE tools such as HyperMesh , Nastran, OptiStruct , Abaqus, ANSYS, Simcenter 3D, LMS Virtual.Lab , or Actran .
  • Expertise in structural dynamics, modal analysis, TPA, vibro-acoustics, and NVH target development.
  • Experience correlating simulation results with vehicle test measurements.
  • Good understanding of EV-specific NVH challenges including motor, gearbox, inverter, and battery-related noise.
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
  • Experience working with global engineering teams and suppliers.
  • Effective leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver under tight timelines.
  • Fluent English communication, both written and verbal.
