Position: Junior Procurement Specialist / Procurement Specialist

Position Reports to: Associate Manager Procurement

Department: Global Procurement

Location: Bangkok, Thailand

General Summary of the Position

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for finding quality goods and services at an acceptable price that meets the organization's needs.

This role will manage vendor development and a pool of suppliers for raw materials, including chemicals, packing materials and outsource suppliers for finished goods.

The successful candidate will also drive procurement initiatives and projects, manage supplier relationships and contracts, and support continuous improvement within the procurement function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard qualified suppliers for raw materials.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure long-term supply reliability and performance.
  • Conduct supplier performance reviews based on cost, quality, delivery, and service.
  • Lead supplier negotiations on pricing, commercial terms, and contracts.
  • Develop and manage dashboards for procurement KPIs and savings tracking.
  • Coordinate project timelines, resource alignment, and milestone reporting.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, alternative materials, and supplier optimization.
  • Conduct market analysis and track raw material price trends.
  • Identify supply risks and develop mitigation strategies (e.g., dual sourcing, BCP).
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and documentation.

What You Will Do:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external partners to execute procurement-related projects.
  • Support the implementation and optimization of procurement processes and initiatives.
  • Monitor the execution of sourcing pipeline and report on project status.
  • Analyse operational and procurement data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost optimization.
  • Lead and actively participate in procurement and sourcing project management activities

Qualifications and Skills:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in procurement or sourcing, preferably in direct materials or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills

Preferred:

  • Experience in sourcing raw materials for manufacturing industries (e.g., chemicals, packaging, etc.).
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Good command of English (both written and spoken).
