Job Summary
The Product Owner (Wealth Platform) is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and managing product requirements for the bank's customer-facing platforms, including Mobile Banking, Web, and Tablet channels. The role works closely with business stakeholders and development teams to ensure clear requirements, well‑managed backlogs, and successful Sprint/Release delivery. This position facilitates requirement workshops, prepares product artefacts, resolves impediments, and ensures that digital initiatives deliver customer value and align with business goals.
Job description
- Provide an active role in impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint
- Perform product owner role of scrum team to ensure complete delivery of work for a Sprint/Release. By ensuring artefacts are complete and ready for development to begin and assisting teams and Scrum Masters for sprint duration
- Facilitation of Stakeholder review meetings
- Creation of project artefacts (PR, RFP, PID, Business Requirements, Functional, Requirements, Use case, Flow charts, PSAP etc), in various formats, for any initiatives related to Digital Channel
- Facilitate workshops & stakeholder sessions to elicit requirements and specifications for artefacts & deliverables
- Peer review of any artefacts to ensure no gaps in requirements nor any ambiguity within the artefacts and providing relevant feedback for staff development
- Provide training to other on new solutions as needed with stakeholders during the visioning and concept development of a product
- Management of product backlog in terms of elaboration and grooming of items, making sure items are clear and understandable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in the field of Computer Science, Computer Engineer, MIS, Software Engineering, IT or related fields
- Minimum 5 years experience in Product Owner, Project management or Product/Process management or in IT solution design
- Self organized and self motivated, Creativity and business mindset
- Strong analytical skills with systematic and structured approach to documenting business needs (modeling, requirement analysis) and problem solving
- IT fluency regarding architectures, application design and testing
- Good knowledge of Banking processes and products; both front & back office, both physical & digital
- Strong in project management and knowledge of software engineering methodologies (use cases, UML entity/relationship, process modeling, test methods)
- Good in English communication
