The Product Specialist is responsible for providing in-depth product, clinical, and technical support for interventional cardiology portfolio, with primary focus on IVUS, FFR, and Mechanical Coronary Thrombectomy solutions.
The role supports both the sales team and customers by driving clinical understanding, ensuring proper product usage, supporting system installation, and contributing directly to sales performance and product adoption.
Secondary support will be provided for other interventional cardiology products including stents, drug-coated balloons (DCB), and intravascular lithotripsy (IVL).
Responsibilities
a. Sales & Commercial Support
- Act as the product and technical expert for IVUS, FFR, and mechanical coronary thrombectomy products.
- Work closely with sales representatives to support customer visits, product discussions, and account strategies.
- Participate in commercial activities that directly support sales objectives and revenue growth.
- Deliver product training to the sales team covering clinical value, technical features, workflow, and competitive positioning.
- Support product launches and key growth initiatives for priority products.
b. Customer, Clinical & Case Support
- Provide on-site and remote clinical support to physicians and cath lab staff before, during, and after procedures, in line with company policy and local regulations.
- Educate customers on appropriate product usage, IVUS image interpretation, FFR measurement principles, and clinical application.
- Conduct product demonstrations, hands-on training, and in-service education for hospitals and cath labs.
- Serve as a trusted technical and clinical resource for customers using evidence-based information.
c. System Installation & Technical Support
- Support the installation, setup, and initial commissioning of IVUS and FFR consoles at customer sites.
- Provide basic troubleshooting and first-line technical support related to system usage.
- Ensure customers and sales teams are properly trained on console operation, accessories, and workflow integration.
d. Product & Market Expertise
- Maintain deep knowledge of IVUS, FFR, and mechanical coronary thrombectomy technologies, including clinical evidence and guidelines.
- Maintain working knowledge of stents, DCB, and IVL to support broader portfolio discussions when required.
- Gather customer feedback, usage insights, and competitor information and share with sales and management teams to support strategy and execution.
e. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Compliance
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to ensure effective execution of commercial and clinical activities.
- Support workshops, training programs, user meetings, and congresses.
- Ensure all activities comply with company policies, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Cardiac Technology
- 25 years of experience in interventional cardiology, cath lab environment, or medical device sales/support
- Sales experience in interventional cardiology or related medical devices is preferred
- Hands-on exposure to IVUS, FFR, or cath lab workflow is a strong advantage
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required
