Project Manager – Data Centre
Location: Rayong / Chonburi)
Position Overview: Seeking an experienced Critical Facility/Data Centre Project Manager to manage complex mission-critical data center construction and fit-out projects. Must possess specialized knowledge of critical infrastructure/data center infrastructure, mechanical/electrical systems, and ability to deliver projects with stringent uptime requirements and technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership - Lead end-to-end data center projects from design phase through commissioning, ensuring delivery of mission-critical infrastructure with 99.99%+ uptime requirements
- Technical Coordination - Coordinate complex MEP systems including redundant power distribution, precision cooling, fire suppression, and structured cabling infrastructure
- Stakeholder Management - Interface with data center operators, IT teams, facility managers, utility companies, and regulatory authorities throughout project lifecycle
- Critical Systems Oversight - Manage installation and testing of UPS systems, backup generators, switchgear, PDUs, CRAC units, and environmental monitoring systems
- Commissioning Leadership - Lead comprehensive commissioning activities including integrated systems testing, load testing, and failover procedures validation
- Schedule Management - Develop and maintain accelerated project schedules while coordinating long-lead equipment procurement and phased occupancy requirements
- Quality Assurance - Implement rigorous quality control processes for critical infrastructure including vibration control, EMI/RFI mitigation, and precision installation tolerances
- Risk Management - Identify and mitigate risks specific to data center operations including power reliability, cooling redundancy, and security requirements
- Budget Control - Manage project budgets typically ranging from $50M-$500M+ with focus on critical equipment procurement and specialty systems
- Regulatory Compliance - Ensure compliance with data center standards (TIA-942, Uptime Institute Tier classifications), building codes, and local utility requirements
- Vendor Coordination - Manage specialized data center equipment vendors, technology integrators, and mission-critical systems suppliers
- Testing Protocols - Oversee comprehensive testing including power quality analysis, thermal mapping, airflow verification, and disaster recovery simulation
- Change Management - Control scope changes while maintaining critical path schedules and ensuring minimal impact to operational systems
- Documentation Management - Maintain detailed as-built documentation, O&M manuals, warranty information, and compliance certificates
Required Qualifications:
- Data Center Experience - Minimum 5+ years managing data center construction, renovation, or critical infrastructure projects
- Technical Knowledge - Deep understanding of data center power and cooling systems, redundancy concepts, and Tier I-IV classifications
- Project Scale - Experience managing large-scale projects ($50M+) with complex technical requirements and fast-track schedules
- Systems Integration - Proven experience coordinating multiple critical systems and specialty contractors in mission-critical environments
- Commissioning Experience - Hands-on experience with data center commissioning, testing procedures, and performance validation
- Industry Standards - Knowledge of TIA-942, BICSI, ASHRAE, and Uptime Institute standards and best practices
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management
- Professional certifications (PMP, RCDD, Data Center certifications) -Bonus
- Experience with hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise data center environments
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure requirements (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- LEED certification and sustainable data center design -Bonus
- Experience with modular/prefabricated data center solutions
Industry Focus: Hyperscale data centers, colocation facilities, enterprise data centers, edge computing facilities, or mission-critical infrastructure requiring 24/7 uptime and specialized technical expertise.
