Project Manager

The Role

Own delivery of the platform from requirements to launch and early support. This is a hybrid role — roughly 60% project management, 40% technical. You won't write most of the code, but you must be able to review architecture, challenge vendor estimates, and debug an integration issue the night before go-live.

What You'll Do

• Own the project plan, milestones, budget, and risk register; run sprints and report to the steering committee.
• Manage the development vendors — scope, acceptance, sign-off, invoices.
• Co-own the technical solution: mobile app, web portal, APIs, and infrastructure.
• Drive the key integrations: insurer policy issuance, payment gateways (domestic rails plus international cards and wallets), and policy verification at immigration checkpoints.
• Act as the day-to-day counterpart to the government authority, the broking partner, the insurer, and payment providers.
• Ensure compliance with local insurance regulation, data protection, and payment security standards; coordinate security testing and sign-off.
• Plan and execute go-live, hypercare, and the ongoing support model.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar.
• 6–8 years experience, including 3–4 years as accountable PM on software projects.
• 2–3 years hands-on as a developer earlier in your career — this is non-negotiable and will be tested at interview.
• Shipped at least one consumer-facing mobile app or transactional web platform to production.
• Experience integrating payment gateways and handling reconciliation.
• Experience managing external development vendors.
• Able to read and reason about code; solid grasp of APIs, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, SQL, and application security.
• Fluent English.
