Job Description

Job Summary

Fraser Suites Bangkok in Thailand is slated to open in 2026. This role is responsible for planning, managing, and controlling procurement activities for goods and services supporting hospitality operations. The role ensures timely sourcing of quality products at competitive prices while driving cost efficiency, supplier performance, and compliance with procurement policies and governance standards.

Responsibilities

Procurement Planning & Operations

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with operational and financial objectives
  • Oversee timely sourcing of food, beverage, operating supplies, equipment, and services
  • Review and approve purchase requisitions and purchase orders within delegated authority limits

Supplier & Contract Management

  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve best value, quality, and service levels
  • Develop and maintain approved supplier lists and contractual agreements
  • Monitor supplier performance against key metrics including cost, quality, delivery, and compliance

Cost Control & Inventory Optimization

  • Drive cost control initiatives through competitive sourcing and specification management
  • Work closely with Finance and Operations to optimize inventory levels and reduce wastage
  • Analyse market trends and identify alternative sourcing opportunities to improve cost efficiency

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, ethical standards, and internal controls
  • Maintain accurate procurement documentation for audit and reporting purposes
  • Support internal and external audits related to purchasing and supplier contracts

Reporting & Market Intelligence

  • Prepare procurement reports including spend analysis, cost savings, supplier performance, and compliance tracking
  • Provide market insights and pricing trends to support management decision-making

Pre-Opening, Projects & Upgrades

  • Collaborate closely with the One Bangkok central project procurement team to align on sourcing strategy, timelines, and procurement governance for the development
  • Support the hotel's requirements for FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) and OS&E (Operating Supplies & Equipment) by coordinating specifications, quantities, and operational needs with internal departments
  • Act as the property-level liaison between the project procurement team, designers, contractors, and hotel operations to ensure all items meet Frasers brand standards and operational functionality
  • Monitor and track procurement progress against the master project schedule, highlighting risks, delays, and operational impacts to management
  • Coordinate delivery schedules with the project team to ensure site readiness, storage availability, and proper handover to hotel operations
  • Participate in mock-up reviews, sample approvals, and site inspections to ensure quality and compliance with design and brand requirements
  • Support documentation, approvals, and reporting required by both ownership and the One Bangkok procurement framework

Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop the purchasing team to ensure operational efficiency and compliance
  • Set performance targets, monitor KPIs, and conduct regular performance reviews
  • Train team members on procurement systems, policies, and best practices

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate closely with Finance, Culinary, F&B, Engineering, and Operations teams to ensure alignment

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5–8 years of procurement or purchasing experience
  • Prior experience in hospitality, hotel, or service industry strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of hospitality procurement, sourcing, and supplier management
  • Understanding of F&B, Operating Supplies & Equipment, and capital procurement categories
  • Experience with procurement systems and advanced MS Excel
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Analytical, cost-conscious, and commercially driven mindset
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • High integrity, ethical standards, and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams
  • Strong understanding of hospitality cost structures and quality standards
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines
