Job description
Statrys is hiring a skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with designers, backend engineers, product managers, and frontend engineers to build responsive, user-centric web applications. Key responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage
- Design, develop, and maintain manual and automated test cases based on product requirements and technical specifications
- Perform end-to-end, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing across web applications and backend services
- Identify, document, and track bugs and issues in a clear and concise manner
- Own the quality of features and releases, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features
- Build and maintain test frameworks using tools like Selenium, Playwright, or similar
- Participate in test case and requirement reviews, contributing to quality and process improvements
- Collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams and contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups
- Validate data integrity by querying and verifying results directly from relational databases
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in software QA with strong exposure to both manual and automated testing
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Hands-on experience with web automation testing tools such as Selenium or Playwright
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python) for automation
- Good knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ability to write and execute SQL queries to validate data
- Experience with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira)
- Good understanding of REST APIs and experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills in English
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
- Self-driven and proactive, with a strong commitment to product quality
Nice to have:
- Experience testing financial or accounting systems
- Exposure to performance or load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling)
