Job Summary
The Quality Manager is responsible for leading and managing all quality-related activities to ensure products and processes comply with customer requirements, company standards, and applicable automotive quality systems. This role oversees the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure full compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, customer-specific requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Establish quality strategies, objectives, and KPIs aligned with company and customer expectations.
- Oversee internal audits, process audits, product audits, and management reviews; ensure effective closure of audit findings.
- Lead and coordinate customer audits and third-party certification audits.
- Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and ensure root cause analysis and effectiveness verification.
- Manage quality performance metrics, analyze trends, and report quality status to senior management.
- Ensure effective document control and quality record management across the organization.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, supply chain, and other departments to improve product and process quality.
- Lead customer complaint handling, including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and customer communication.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives and a strong quality culture throughout the organization.
- Lead, coach, and develop the quality team to ensure high performance and competency.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and legal regulations.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 710 years of experience in quality management within the automotive manufacturing industry.
- At least 35 years in a Quality Manager or senior quality leadership role.
- Strong experience with IATF 16949 implementation and maintenance.
- Proven experience handling customer and third-party audits.
Knowledge & Skills
- In-depth knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and automotive core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA).
- Strong understanding of customer-specific requirements (CSR).
- Experience in problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone).
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities.
Language Skills
Good command of English; Chinese language skills are an advantage.
