About Us

Contech Engineering Pty Ltd is a Melbourne-based, family-owned company with over 40 years of experience in manufacturing premium conveyor equipment, specializing in the Food, Pharmaceutical, and Beverage industries. We are a fast-growing, trusted supplier combining high manufacturing standards with innovative solutions. To support our expansion in the Asian region, we are seeking a driven, autonomous Regional Sales Manager to join our team.

The Role

Based in a flexible environment, you will be responsible for driving growth across Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam. This is a high-impact, sales-focused role that requires a self-starter comfortable with managing the full sales cycle independently, with support from our engineering team when needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Proactively identify opportunities, develop customer relationships, and expand our market presence in Asia.
  • Solution Selling: Prepare and propose technical solutions to clients via drawings and technical specifications.
  • Sales Cycle Management: Gather client information, prepare quotes, submit proposals, and follow up to close sales.
  • Regional Travel: Travel extensively across Southeast Asia (Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam) as required.
  • Reporting & CRM: Report weekly to management on forecasts, project pipelines, and market issues. Maintain the ConTech CRM to ensure data accuracy.
  • After-Sales Service: Ensure high customer satisfaction through post-sale support.

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Regional Sales, Business Development Manager or Sales Engineer, preferably within the industrial machinery, manufacturing, or food/beverage industry.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and manage your own schedule.
  • Technical aptitude to read drawings and propose engineering solutions.
  • Extensive experience traveling and conducting business in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, or Vietnam.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with a customer-centric focus.
  • Highly organized with strong CRM management skills.
