Our client is an European MNC in the building materials industry. They are currently seeking to hire a Sales Engineer due to expanding business needs. The ideal candidate should have 2-3 years of sales experience in the building materials industry, specific experience in the roofing/facade/steel fabrication trade will be a plus point.
Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Drive sales growth for construction fastening products across Thailand and meet / exceed annual sales targets.
- Identify and engage stakeholders— developer, consultants, contractors, façade/roofing companies, installers etc.
- Work closely with distributors on driving growth targets and expand overall market share.
- Engage system providers on promoting system selling through specification
Technical Advisory
- Provide technical product guidance to customers, including material selection, application suitability, and installation recommendations.
- Conduct technical presentations and product training to engineers, architects, and installers.
- Manage specification work with consultants and developers.
Project & Market Management
- Track major construction projects and ensure products is specified where relevant.
- Conduct site visits to evaluate applications and support installation.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing feedback.
Sales Operations
- Prepare technical submittals, and project documentation.
- Work with internal teams on inventory planning, logistics, and customer service on pre and post sales services.
- Report sales performance, forecasts, and activity updates in the CRM system
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related fields.
- 2–5 years of sales experience in construction materials, fasteners, façade/roofing systems, or building envelope products preferred.
- Strong technical aptitude; able to interpret drawings and understand façade/structural applications.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Independent, proactive, and motivated to grow the brand in the market.
