About This Role

The Sales Manager is responsible for leading commercial growth in the Food business by developing strategic customer relationships, expanding market presence, and driving revenue performance. This role oversees key accounts, identifies new business opportunities, and leads the sales team to achieve ambitious sales targets. The Sales Manager works closely with R&D, Marketing, Supply Chain, and senior management to deliver high‑quality food solutions that meet customer needs and align with company strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue, margin, and growth targets.
  • Identify new customers, market segments, and business opportunities in food, beverage, and consumer product sectors.
  • Drive pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and commercial proposals.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer innovation needs.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to deliver high performance.
  • Set KPIs, track team performance, and provide regular feedback.
  • Conduct sales training, product knowledge sessions, and customer‑engagement coaching.
  • Coordinate sales resources and ensure effective territory management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regional and global accounts.
  • Conduct strategic business reviews with key customers.
  • Oversee customer projects from briefing to launch in collaboration with R&D and application teams.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through timely support and high‑quality flavor solutions.
  • Work closely with Applications Specialists, Marketing, and Supply Chain.
  • Support customer briefs, tasting sessions, product trials, and technical presentations.
  • Provide customer insights to guide product development and marketing initiatives.
  • Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.
  • Analyze sales performance and provide regular business reports to senior management.
  • Maintain accurate CRM data, project pipelines, and account plans.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and safety requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • 5–10 years of sales experience in the food, food ingredients, or FMCG industry (required/preferred).
  • Proven track record in managing key accounts and delivering sales growth.
  • Experience leading sales teams is a strong advantage.
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Good understanding of applications in food & beverages.
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, and sales reporting tools.
  • Leadership mindset with strong people‑management capabilities.
  • Customer‑centric, results‑driven, and proactive.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and adaptability in a fast‑moving industry.
  • Passion for food and beverages innovation.
