Position Overview

Scholastic Asia is seeking a Sales Manager, Education to drive the growth of our education business across Southeast Asia. The role to be based in Thailand depending on the nationality/business needs. This role will focus on identifying market opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and expanding sales of Scholastic's education products and solutions across the region.

The successful candidate will work closely with regional distributors, education partners, schools, and government stakeholders to grow adoption of Scholastic's programs and learning resources. This role requires strong market insight, relationship-building skills, and the ability to translate market opportunities into sustainable sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Market Expansion

  • Identify and develop new market opportunities for Scholastic education products across Southeast Asia (excluding Philippines).
  • Drive revenue growth through new partnerships with schools, distributors, ministries of education, and education service providers.
  • Expand distribution channels and strengthen the regional partner network.
  • Develop and execute market entry strategies for new education programs and solutions.

Sales Growth & Account Management

  • Work with country partners and distributors to achieve annual sales targets.
  • Support key partners in developing sales plans and promotional strategies for education programs.
  • Manage and grow key accounts within the education sector.
  • Monitor sales performance and market trends to identify growth opportunities.

Strategic Planning

  • Contribute to regional education sales strategy and long-term growth planning.
  • Provide market insights and competitive analysis to support product positioning.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on pricing strategies, product selection, and market launches.

Partner & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with education ministries, school groups, learning centres, and education distributors.
  • Represent Scholastic at education events, conferences, and industry forums.
  • Support partners with training, presentations, and program implementation where needed.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with regional teams including sales, marketing, editorial, and operations to ensure successful market execution.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure product availability, marketing support, and partner readiness.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in education sales, publishing, or education services.
  • Experience working with regional distributors or education institutions in Southeast Asia is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of education markets, school networks, and curriculum environments.
  • Proven track record in business development and sales growth.
